Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Nice food - we had the scallop pasta and cutlet. Both were cooked well and we're tasty. The staff were really nice and would make little jokes which was pleasant. The bread basket was great because it came with Alice baguette and bread sticks. The food is quite expensive, but that can be expected in Venice."
"Best meal I’ve had here so far. The salad was the fullest, most lettuce-forward salad I’ve had in a week (since leaving the US) and the avocado complimented it well. Plus, look at that presentation! The squid ink pasta with scallops was also delicious, I highly recommend. The atmosphere was nice - we sat outside and enjoyed the perfect cool summer evening."
"Fantastic spot for some lunch away from the most crowded areas of Venice. Outdoor seating area is serene and shaded and the food is amazing! Friendly staff and generous portions of super fresh seafood make it a ‘must eat’ place in Venice!"
"We randomly came across this amazing restaurant when we purposely got lost in Venice (each person picked a direction to turn at each junction). That accommodated our large party and created a table for us on their small patio in the alley. The food was amazing! Special of the day was fantastic, would highly recommend the spicy shrimp pasta dish, and the dessert special was a sliced cookie dish that is something we will dream about in the future! Service was excellent and the setting was relaxed. Lots of locals showed up as the evening went on. We would return in a minute!"
"Just finished dinner with a group of six - everyone was happy! The food was delicious and the portions generous. I had the octopus salad- the octopus was tender and I can definitely recommend it. The liver was also a hit- two of my friends ordered it and loved it, I tried a bite too and it’s a great choice for liver fans. The cuttlefish was another favorite."
"The only thing we were disappointed with was after our lovely main courses we were too full for dessert. When we first sat the tables were empty as I think we arrived just after opening, however they soon filled with other diners. Our waiter was great and recommended various dishes. Food and drink all tasty and hopefully next time we get that dessert. Update from our first visit above on 8/9/25 We visited again 9/9/25 and managed to find space for dessert. Tried a few different dishes from our first night (except the Bruschetta) and once again enjoyed the tasty food. We sat inside this time to avoid the mosquitos who seem to love our Scottish skin. Finished with Tiramisu, Lemoncello and an espresso."
"One of the best spots ever. I was passing by here and thought to try it What a dinner. The fish was super fresh and very well prepared. The seafood mix starter was awesome. If in venice this is a must try."
"Just had the best squid ink pasta (with scallop) I’ve ever had. Given that this is one of my favourite dishes and I’ve had it in many countries (Italian restaurants) and als in other places in Venice, this is really a strong endorsement. Absolutely mind-blowing. From looking impressive down to matching it, and more, in taste, a trip to Venice was worth it just for that dish alone! Carbonara was stunning and intense also - thanks to generous amount of smoked guanciale. Thanks to previous reviewers who warned us to leave space in our stomachs, we DID try their tiramisu and it was beautiful. I wish I was staying for longer so I could come back and have the exact same thing again! PS our waiter Marco was lovely - just the experience you’d want to have in Italy!"
